GDPR Implementation - Marketing Analytics Platform

In 2018, Convertro along with the rest of the tech industry who had any business conducted within the EU came under the enforcement of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In order to mitigate risk and stay in compliance, Convertro needed to backport GDPR onto their existing stack. Jared Scott took up the task and built the client-facing front-end that would allow businesses to request their data and any private data of their users to be expunged from Convertro's system.
The project, from start to finish, took around a month. Jared built the front end as well as test infrastructure that would integrate with the backend and stress test the system. New technologies were also used, including AWS API Gateway and Lambda.
The quick implementation of the GDPR system was impressive to Convertro's parent company, AOL, and they requested the implementation be made open source and provided to the community. You can see the implementation that was built by Jared and the team here.
